I've always loved The Nutcracker. The story, and most of all, its' music. I never cared very much for ballet but this is the only one I can sit through over and over again without fidgeting. After HP, this is one film I am most looking forward to...♥

Holy Father, God of our yesterdays, our today, and our tomorrows. We praise You for Your unequaled greatness. Thank You for the year behind us and for the year ahead. Help us in Your new year, Father, to fret less and laugh more. To teach our children to laugh by laughing with them. To teach others to love by loving them. Knowing, when Love came to the stable in Bethlehem, He came for us. So that Love could be with us, and we could know You. That we could share Love with others. Help us, Father, to hear Your love song in every sunrise, in the chirping of sparrows in our backyards, in the stories of our old folks, and the fantasies of our children. Help us to stop and listen to Your love songs, so that we may know You better and better. We rejoice in the world You loved into being. Thank You for another new year and for new chances every day. Now that I am officially on vacation, I can start preparing for the Christmas holidays early. Wheeee!!!
You see, we usually put up the tree right around November and take it down mid January. That way, the Christmas spirit lingers on much longer. It's not so much the gifts we receive but the time together with family, the generosity of the people you come into contact with during this season, the happy carols playing non-stop, the endless trays of food and the unadulterated glee of children, that makes Christmas such a wonderful occasion for me. Sure there is the horrendous traffic and the long queues in the department stores that we have to resign ourselves to contend with but to this day, the "magic" still exists.
There may be less gifts under the trees and more practical food on the tables due to the global financial crisis but people the world over will surely have more reason to celebrate. Blessings thrive in abundance all around us everyday and we have so many little miracles to be thankful for. like to sing (in the car, the loo, anywhere!), dance (more like traipse around), laugh uproariously, read voraciously, watch movies, enjoy the company of friends; eternally wishing it were christmas all year round, amusement park junkie (the higher the ride, the better!), unabashed cryer in cinemas (potential seatmates, beware!), devout carnivore (you can count the veggies i do eat in one hand)...also have a bordering-on-the-absurd collection of all things froggy given by friends and next of kin. maybe one day, one of them'll turn out to be my prince - harharhar!!!
