For years, I thought Christiane Amanpour was the toughest chick in broadcast journalism. Most lady comarts grads like myself (and a few gents maybe) could only aspire to have as much ability to think quickly on their feet. She never balked in the face of danger, welcoming assignments to cover ongoing strife in war-torn countries as easily as invitations to coronations and state funerals.
On August 14, 2008, Georgian TV reporter Tamara Urushadze, was hit on the arm by sniper fire while reporting that all was quiet in Gori. She temporarily fell out of camera range but to the viewers' utter amazement, just donned a bullet-proof vest and continued her broadcast as if nothing happened. Astig!!! Boy, will her career take off now...

like to sing (in the car, the loo, anywhere!), dance (more like traipse around), laugh uproariously, read voraciously, watch movies, enjoy the company of friends; eternally wishing it were christmas all year round, amusement park junkie (the higher the ride, the better!), unabashed cryer in cinemas (potential seatmates, beware!), devout carnivore (you can count the veggies i do eat in one hand)...also have a bordering-on-the-absurd collection of all things froggy given by friends and next of kin. maybe one day, one of them'll turn out to be my prince - harharhar!!!
