Mabuhay Ang P-Noy!
Today marked a historic chapter in the lives of Filipinos everywhere.
If Princess Diana was the "People's Princess", no one will dare dispute that Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III has proven himself worthy of the monicker "People's Prez".
Millions of people clad in various shades of yellow braved the oppressive heat and the looming threat of a sudden downpour to be able to witness President Noynoy's inauguration. His oath-taking and short speech afterwards were inspiring, to say the least. If he delivers on even just the promise of eliminating corruption in the government, he will finish his term more beloved than when he came in.
It is no joke to have an entire nation pinning its' hopes and dreams on you. For now, we wait and see whether his actions live up to his intentions.
