Hot Fuss
I am refreshed, enervated, rejuvenated...after just a couple of days away from work! I even have time to update my blog - yay!
These past weeks, people have been all agog about the latest and juiciest news to do the rounds hereabouts. Being a relatively typical laidback culture, we don't really have a lot of stuff to get excited about. Well, save for maybe the recent arrivals of Ne-Yo and Maroon 5 on our shores. Once in a rare while, something unexpected hits us with the force of a gigantic tsunami and we merrily ride the wave of its' hype.
No one person can claim to have stirred up as much controversy of late.
Until one Mr. Brian Gorrell started a blog.
I gotta admit, I've been hooked since day one. I am not ashamed to admit that I have been an avid lurker - addicted 2 weeks after I accidentally stumbled on one of his first posts. The so-called adventures of the "Gucci Gang" is like an episode taken straight out of Gossip Girl. Oh, the excesses of the cirque du jour...tsk, tsk, tsk.
Check out what people have been saying in the comments portion! Verrrry interesting, to say the least...
Australian landscape designer Brian Gorrell has struck the mother lode. He says he only put up his blog to collect the $70,000 his former Filipino lover (whom he named his blog after) owes him. Because of his exposes and revelations, however, he has succeeded in shaking up denizens of Philippine "high society". And his blog isn't even a month old yet!
Read this excellent post commenting on his blog...
Mr. Gorrell follows on the heels of another much-publicized Bryan, who eschews people's opinions and just goes on about doing his own thing - much to the delight of a vast worldwide audience. Currently in the works (as rumors have it) for this Brian - a book and movie deal! Hope this helps him recoup his bamboozled money pronto.
