The Force Cometh
If you haven't caught Star Wars fever yet, here's the homepage: http://www.bus.miami.edu/~jdavis/Starwars/starwars.html and just some from among the slew of parodies created in its honor: http://www.bus.miami.edu/~jdavis/Starwars/songs.html, http://www.theforce.net/humor/music/, http://www.geocities.com/skywalkerbizarre/index.html, http://www.infauxmedia.com/, and http://www.storewars.org/flash/index.html. They are H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!
I remember how the Star Wars trilogy changed the whole movie viewing experience for me as a kid. No other scifi flick even came close. ( E.T. The Extraterrestrial was also a fave but was not as exciting.) Anything that had a semblance of a connection to Star Wars had me enthralled - the comedy Space Balls even!
Scene which had the most impact for me: when Anakin, the newly-appointed apprentice to Darth Sidious, enters the Jedi Council Room where several young Jedi (the "younglings") are hiding from the murderous Sith and a youngling emerges from behind a couch to say to him, "Master Skywalker! There are too many of them. What are we to do?"
Now that George Lucas has delivered on his promise to make all 6 films, this last installment should further cement its' groundbreaking place in celluloid history. See ya at the theaters!
Good design!
